The Rhoads silhouette has been metal’s signature shape since Randy Rhoads made it famous, and the X Series RRX24 carries that legacy forward without the vintage-guitar price tag. This version arrives in a striking Red finish with Black Bevels, paired with a laurel fingerboard and red reverse sharkfin inlays for a look as aggressive as its output.
Under the hood, a poplar body meets a one-piece through-body maple neck, reinforced with graphite and joined via a scarf joint for stability under heavy detuning and two-handed playing. The 12″-16″ compound radius bound fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets, giving you low-fret comfort for chords and effortless bending way up the neck for solos. The reverse pointed 6-in-line headstock keeps the string pull even and the look unmistakably Jackson.
Tone comes from a matched pair of active Seymour Duncan Blackout humbuckers – the AHB-1N in the neck for warm, articulate chording and singing leads, and the AHB-1B in the bridge for high-output, pinched-harmonic-friendly aggression. Two volume knobs, a single tone control, and a 3-way blade switch let you dial in bridge, neck, or both pickups on the fly, with black hardware and black pickup covers rounding out the stealthy aesthetic.
Anchoring the whole build is a recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo with zinc alloy saddles and sustain block. Locking at both the nut and bridge, it holds pitch through dive bombs, pull-ups, and relentless whammy abuse, while the recessed mounting keeps your picking hand comfortable during rapid-fire riffing.
