Description
The G2622 Streamliner takes the semi-hollow formula Gretsch is known for and updates it for players who want stage volume without the feedback headaches. A double-cutaway 16″ arched maple body houses a chambered center block, keeping the guitar light on the shoulder while tightening up the low end and boosting sustain compared to a fully hollow design.
Driving the tone is a set of all-new Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers, built with a mix of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets. Expect pronounced midrange, controlled bass, and highs that stay smooth rather than brittle – a voice that works equally well for jangly cleans and pushed rock tones. A push/pull master volume pot unlocks coil-splitting, so you’re not locked into humbucker-only territory; single-coil-style sounds are just a knob-pull away.
The neck is a soft “C” profile in nato, topped with a 12″-radius laurel fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays. A real bone nut helps with tuning stability and sustain at the open strings. Hardware includes an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge paired with Gretsch’s V-Stop tailpiece, finished in nickel, plus a three-ply tortoise pickguard and vintage-style radio control knobs.
