Description
The G2420 Streamliner takes the classic Gretsch hollow body formula and updates it for players who want that iconic twang and jangle plus a bit more sonic reach. Its fully hollow arched maple body with parallel tone bars produces the deep, resonant “big-body” sound Gretsch is known for, while the single-cutaway shape keeps upper-fret access comfortable during solos.
Under the hood, the all-new Broad’Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups combine Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets to serve up punchy mids, tight-but-full low end, and smooth top-end clarity – a pickup voicing built to handle everything from rockabilly runs to fuller rock tones without losing composure. A push/pull pot on the master volume adds coil-splitting, so you can dial into single-coil territory whenever you want extra sparkle or twang.
The soft “C”-shaped Nato neck feels easy under the hand, mated to a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays. A real bone nut helps with tuning stability and sustain, while the Adjusto-Matic bridge on its secured laurel base and Chromatic II tailpiece keep intonation solid and add to the guitar’s vintage-forward look.
