Description
The G5622T Electromatic Center Block Double-Cut is Gretsch’s answer for players who want that unmistakable big, chiming tone but need it to hold up under high gain. A maple body houses a chambered spruce center block, which tightens up resonance and cuts feedback while keeping the guitar surprisingly light on the shoulder for a semi-hollow build.
Tone comes courtesy of dual Black Top Broad’Tron humbucking pickups, voiced for sparkling top-end and a punchy midrange that stays articulate whether you’re playing clean rockabilly twang or pushing into overdrive. The control layout gives you real flexibility on stage: master volume with a treble bleed circuit to keep clarity as you roll back, master tone, independent volume knobs for each pickup, and a three-way toggle for quick pickup switching.
Rounding out the spec sheet is an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge paired with a Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece for smooth, stable pitch effects, a Graph Tech NuBone nut for consistent tuning and sustain, and Gretsch’s signature G-arrow knobs.
This particular G5622T arrives in the Speyside finish, dressed with a gold pickguard and gold pickup bezels alongside nickel hardware throughout – a look that matches the guitar’s warm, vintage-forward character.
