Description
Part guitar, part ukulele, the Outdoor Guitar™ splits the difference into a compact baritone instrument often called a Guitalele. Tuned ADGCEA – essentially a standard guitar with a capo on the 5th fret – it lets you play familiar guitar and ukulele chord shapes while punching well above its size in volume and projection.
Instead of traditional tonewoods, this body is injection molded from a carbon fiber composite polycarbonate blend, formed in hardened steel molds under intense heat and pressure. The process aligns carbon fiber strands into a natural grain pattern, adding real strength and acoustic resonance without the fragility of wood construction. That means it shrugs off temperature swings, humidity, and rough handling – the kind of stuff that keeps a wooden guitar in its case.
The neck is bolt-on, the scale length runs 20 inches across 18 frets, and each string gets its own compensated saddle for cleaner intonation. Nickel-plated precision geared tuners keep it in tune, paired with D’Addario Pro-Arté nylon strings threaded through horn-shaped, single-point termination slots for a smooth, unstrained pull to the tuning machines.
