Description
The Larrivee D-60 Traditional Series carries forward the brand’s commitment to all-solid-wood construction, with every board hand-selected and properly cured before it ever reaches the workshop. This dreadnought pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back, sides, and neck, giving players the punchy midrange and clear top-end sparkle that spruce is known for, backed by the warm low-end response mahogany contributes.
Details reflect a traditional, heritage-inspired build: an ebony fingerboard and standard bridge, an Indian rosewood headplate, and a scalloped hybrid bracing pattern designed to open up resonance without sacrificing structural stability. The neck meets the body at the 14th fret, and herringbone trim on both the rosette and top purfling gives the guitar a classic look, framed by maple binding on the body, fingerboard, and heel cap. A tortoise pickguard and diamond dot fingerboard inlays round out the aesthetic, along with an inlaid logo on the headstock.
Hardware choices support long-term playability and tuning stability: open-back 18:1 ratio tuners, a compensated bone saddle, bone nut, and bone bridge pins with black dots. Scale length measures 25.5″ with a 1-11/16″ nut width, fitting comfortably into the standard dreadnought range at 16″ across the lower bout and 5″ body depth.
