Description
Jackson’s King V silhouette isn’t subtle, and neither is the tone coming out of this KVMG Pro Series build. An alder body with a maple veneer top sits under a 3-piece through-body maple neck, reinforced with graphite rods and finished in hand-rubbed oil for a fast, worn-in feel right out of the box. The Speed Neck profile meets an ebony fingerboard with a 12″-16″ compound radius, so chords stay comfortable low on the neck while bends and solos up top resist fretting out across all 24 jumbo frets. White binding traces the neck and headstock, with alumiloid shark fin inlays marking your position.
Electronics are pure metal-machine: an EMG 81 in the bridge delivers tight, compressed aggression, while the EMG 89 in the neck offers a push/pull coil-tap for single-coil clarity when you need to dial things back. A 3-way toggle handles switching between them. A Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking recessed tremolo, paired with black hardware and Jackson’s sealed die-cast tuners, keeps pitch rock-solid through whammy abuse and drop tunings alike.
