The M-240E Troubadour brings back the spirit of Guild’s F-20, a compact favorite from the folk boom of the 1960s, reimagined as part of the Westerly acoustic archback series. Tonally, the pairing of a solid Sitka spruce top with an arched mahogany back and sides delivers a balanced, overtone-rich voice — bright enough for detail, warm enough to stay musical when you dig in. Scalloped X bracing helps the top breathe, while the mahogany neck (carved in a Slim C profile) keeps the feel fast and comfortable across its 20-fret, 24 3/4″ scale rosewood fingerboard.
Vintage details carry through the build: a bone nut and compensated bone saddle, an Indian rosewood bridge, a tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel-plated Guild open-gear tuners running at a precise 14:1 ratio. The satin polyurethane finish in vintage sunburst gives the whole instrument a lived-in, road-worn character right out of the case.
