Description
Godin’s MultiAc Nylon Encore 7 takes the classic nylon-string voice and reshapes it for musicians who live on loud stages. Extending the format to seven strings, it opens up extended-range voicings and low-end textures while keeping the playing feel familiar to steel-string electric guitarists—thanks to a 25 1/2″ scale length and a manageable 1 7/8″ nut width that eases the transition to nylon.
Underneath the solid cedar top sits a two-chambered silver leaf maple body, paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard carrying a 16″ radius. This construction keeps the guitar resonant and lively while helping tame the feedback issues that typically plague amplified nylon-string instruments in a full-band mix.
Tone shaping comes from Godin’s custom EPM-designed electronics: a Blendable Dual Source System combining an under-saddle transducer with an acoustic soundboard transducer. Sliders for volume, treble, mid, bass, and blend let you dial in everything from a natural acoustic sound to a punchier, more direct plugged-in tone—or anywhere in between—right at the guitar.
Finished in a understated Natural Semi-Gloss, this is a demo unit, offered with a gig bag.
