The Multiac line has been Godin’s cornerstone model for decades, and the Nylon Deluxe pushes that legacy forward with a redesigned electronics package built to Godin’s own spec by LR Baggs. At its core are two distinct sound sources working together: six individual HEX pickups set into the bridge, and a Lyric mic positioned beneath the soundboard.
The bridge sensors track each string independently, giving you a defined, articulate signal no matter where you’re playing on the neck. The Lyric mic, meanwhile, picks up the guitar’s natural acoustic voice along with every tap, slap, and percussive nuance struck against the top — a huge advantage for flamenco players or anyone leaning into rhythmic right-hand technique. Blend the two through the onboard preamp and you get a hybrid tone that’s both natural and stage-ready.
Controlling that blend is a genuinely capable preamp: a three-band EQ, master Volume slider, Phase switch, Saturation slider, and a separate Lyric mic volume slider give you real shaping power on the fly, whether you’re in a studio booth or adjusting on the fly at soundcheck.
Underneath the electronics sits a solid, chambered mahogany body paired with a spruce top — a construction choice that resists feedback at performance volume without sacrificing acoustic warmth. A mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard and bridge round out the build, giving the guitar a smooth, consistent feel that holds up night after night.
