Description
Godin’s Multiac Grand Concert Duet Ambiance (model # 031498) is designed specifically for classical and fingerstyle players who need their acoustic tone to translate faithfully through a PA. It pairs a larger Grand Concert body with a solid Cedar top and a chambered Mahogany back, giving the instrument warmth and resonance while keeping weight manageable. The neck joins the body at the 12th fret, and the nut measures a full 2″ wide — closer to traditional classical proportions than Godin’s standard Multiac neck, so players coming from nylon-string instruments will feel right at home.
What sets this guitar apart is its electronics package. Godin partnered with Fishman on a custom system built around an under-saddle transducer combined with blendable sound-imaging mic modeling. A 4-way selector lets you dial in one of four distinct mic voicings, or blend them, so you can shape the amplified sound to match the room, the mix, or your own ear — without ever placing an actual microphone.
Rounding out the build is a Mahogany neck topped with a Richlite fingerboard cut to a 24″ radius, running a 25.59″ (650mm) scale length. A standard 1/4″ output makes it simple to plug straight into an amp, DI, or acoustic pedal. Finished in Natural High-Gloss, it looks as refined as it sounds.
