Description
Godin built the Acousticaster to solve a problem every gigging player knows: acoustic tone that keeps up with electric-guitar feel. The two-chamber mahogany body carries a solid Spruce top under a natural high-gloss finish, giving it that classic contrast look while shaping a resonant, balanced voice. Flip it over and you’ll find the Rock Maple neck Godin is known for — fast, comfortable, and finished with a maple fingerboard on a 12″ radius, 25 1/2″ scale, and 1 11/16″ nut width.
What really sets this guitar apart is its dual pickup system. A Godin GJN1 Mini-Humbucker sits alongside a custom Godin under-saddle transducer, and each has its own tone-shaping controls: the Mini-Humbucker gets independent volume, treble, and bass, while a separate custom preamp handles overall volume, mid, treble, and bass for the acoustic side. Two output jacks let you send the electric and acoustic signals as a blended mix or route them separately for studio flexibility or live sound tweaking.
Whether you’re layering acoustic textures in the studio or need an instrument that can cut through a full band mix on stage, the Acousticaster adapts. It’s an acoustic-electric that doesn’t ask you to choose between warmth and edge — you get both, on tap.
