The A6 Ultra takes Godin’s signature A-series formula and pushes it further. At its core is a chambered Silver Leaf Maple body topped with solid Cedar, engineered to deliver a full, resonant acoustic voice on stage while resisting the feedback that plagues most acoustic-electrics at volume. Layer on a Godin GHN1 humbucker in the neck position and you’ve got a genuine electric guitar tone sharing the same body.
What sets the A6 Ultra apart is the control it hands the player. A custom Godin preamp splits duties between the under-saddle transducer and the humbucker, with independent sliders for acoustic volume, treble, mid and bass, plus separate volume, treble and bass for the electric pickup. Two output jacks let you send the acoustic mix and the electric signal wherever they need to go, whether that’s two amps, two channels, or a blend in the mix. It’s a setup built for musicians who want to move between a warm unplugged-style tone and a punchier electric bite without switching instruments.
Feel-wise, this is an electric neck through and through: mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, 16″ radius, 25 1/2″ scale, and a 1 11/16″ nut width, so the playing experience stays familiar even as the tonal palette expands.
