The A6 Ultra Baritone takes Godin’s signature A-Series formula—an electric-feeling neck paired with a chambered acoustic body—and stretches it into baritone territory. That extended 27″ scale opens up lower tunings and a fuller low end while keeping the playability Godin players expect, and the chambered Silver Leaf Maple body construction helps kill feedback even at stage volume.
What sets this Ultra Baritone apart is its dual-source setup. A Godin GJN1 mini-humbucker sits in the neck position for thick, electric-style tone, while a custom under-saddle transducer captures the acoustic voice. Both feed a custom Godin preamp built specifically for this instrument, giving you independent slider control over acoustic volume, treble, mid and bass, plus separate volume, treble and bass controls just for the humbucker. Two output jacks—one for the acoustic mix, one for electric—mean you can run both signals separately into different rigs, or blend them into one huge, layered sound.
Under the hood: a solid Cedar top pairs with the chambered maple body for resonance and sustain, while a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard (16″ radius, 1 11/16″ nut width) keep the feel familiar to electric players stepping into baritone acoustic territory.
