Description
The AFX Pro EQ Mini takes the preamp circuitry from Fishman’s respected Platinum series and shrinks it into a pedalboard-friendly box built specifically for acoustic instruments, passive or active. Rather than acting as a generic graphic EQ, it starts with a high-impedance instrument preamp stage designed to properly condition your pickup’s signal before any tone shaping happens.
From there, four dedicated bands of acoustic-voiced EQ — bass, mid, treble, and brilliance — let you dial in the character of your instrument, while a sweepable Low Cut control gives you fine control over unwanted boom or added low-end warmth.
- 5-band EQ voiced specifically for acoustic instruments
- True Bypass with switchable Buffered Bypass or Mute options
- Feedback-Fighting Phase Control to combat unwanted resonance onstage
- Innovative Dual Path Routing for creative signal chain setups
- Compact enclosure that fits tight pedalboard spaces
- Requires external 9V power (sold separately)
True bypass means the AFX Pro EQ Mini’s circuitry is completely out of your signal path when disengaged, keeping your tone uncolored — though a buffered bypass option is there if you prefer it. The Dual Path Routing feature is particularly clever: using standard TRS stereo guitar cables, you can link multiple AFX Minis together and split them into two independent effect chains by setting each pedal’s Audio Path switch to “Tip” or “Ring.” It’s a smart way to build complex acoustic rigs without a mess of extra cabling.
