The Redondo Classic makes an entrance before you even strum a note. Its exclusive slope-shouldered body was built to project — big, warm, and commanding, whether you’re on a stage or in a living room. The solid Sitka spruce top wears a fully painted Cosmic Turquoise finish, set off by natural solid mahogany back and sides, a matching painted 6-in-line headstock, and koa binding and rosette for a two-toned look that’s equal parts vintage cool and modern flair.
Underneath the style is real substance. Fender optimized the internal bracing to shed unnecessary mass and open up the guitar’s resonance, while a bone nut and saddle push sustain further than typical acoustics in this range. Plugged in, a Fender/Fishman-designed preamp — voiced specifically for the Redondo shape — keeps the amplified tone honest to the guitar’s acoustic character, with onboard volume, bass, treble, tuner, and phase controls for easy control at the gig.
The lightweight mahogany neck uses a slim-taper “C” profile that feels equally at home for strumming and fingerstyle work, and the pau ferro fingerboard and Modern Viking bridge add clarity and articulation to the low end. It ships with Fender Dura-Tone coated 80/20 bronze strings (.012-.052) already installed and includes a gig bag for easy transport.
