Description
The Fender PM-2 Deluxe Parlor brings 1960s design cues into a modern, gig-ready acoustic-electric. Part of Fender’s U.S.-designed Paramount series, this parlor-body guitar pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, joined by quartersawn scalloped “X” bracing that lets the top move freely for a lively, resonant voice well-suited to fingerstyle and intimate playing.
Vintage character runs throughout the build: a period-correct checkerboard rosette and binding, an art-deco-inspired tortoiseshell pickguard, and abalone/mother-of-pearl “Concert Tone” inlays along the ebony fingerboard. The mahogany neck uses a fast “C” profile, finished in high gloss to match the body, and rides on a 24.7″ scale with a 1.750″ bone nut – a comfortable, quick-playing combination for players who like a smaller-scale instrument.
Plugged in, the guitar relies on a Fender/Fishman-designed PM preamp voiced specifically for the parlor body shape, giving you volume, tone, and middle controls alongside an onboard tuner and phase switch for feedback control on stage.
