Description
The Fender PM-1 Limited Adirondack Dreadnought takes the Paramount Series formula and pushes it further, marrying a solid AA Adirondack spruce top to solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Adirondack spruce is prized for its headroom and punch, and here it’s paired with scalloped quartersawn “X”-bracing that lets the top breathe, giving you a dreadnought with real dynamic range from fingerpicked passages to full strumming.
Bone shows up throughout — nut, saddle, and bridge pins — for clarity and sustain, while the ebony fingerboard and ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle keep intonation tight. A mahogany neck in a comfortable “C” shape rides a 25.3″ scale with a 1.69″ nut width, bound in aged white and black for a vintage look that matches the checkerboard rosette and body binding. Gloss lacquer finish on both body and neck adds warmth and a touch of old-school elegance.
Plugged in, the Fender/Fishman-designed PM preamp gives you volume, bass, and treble controls plus onboard tuner and phase switch, so you can shape your acoustic tone and check pitch without leaving the stage.
