Description
The Newporter Player takes Fender’s California Series aesthetic and pairs it with a genuinely gig-ready acoustic-electric build. Its medium-sized Newporter body shape strikes a balance between projection and control, making it a natural fit behind a singer or out front carrying its own melody. The solid spruce top wears a fully painted gloss metallic Rustic Copper finish, complemented by mahogany back and sides, a matching painted 6-in-line headstock, and crème binding — a look that stands apart from traditional dreadnoughts and concert-body acoustics.
Under the hood, the construction reflects real attention to tone and feel. Optimized internal bracing trims excess mass while boosting resonance, and a Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle add clarity and sustain to every note. A Fishman preamp system (with Volume, Bass, and Treble controls) handles the plugged-in side of things, translating the guitar’s acoustic character through a PA or amp without flattening it out.
The mahogany neck carries a slim-taper “C” profile that suits fingerstyle and strumming alike, topped with a walnut fingerboard and matching walnut bridge that add warmth and definition to the guitar’s overall voice.
