Description
The G6620T Players Edition Nashville Center Block Double-Cut brings the Gretsch twang lineage into a more refined, gig-ready package. Its laminated maple body wraps around a chambered spruce center block, a construction choice that trims excess weight while keeping the resonant, woody voice this shape is known for. Feedback stays in check even at higher stage volumes, so you get the openness of a hollowbody without the usual squeal.
Under the hood sit two High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups, wired through independent neck and bridge volume controls plus master volume and tone, all routed via a 3-position toggle. That layout gives quick access to the classic Gretsch spectrum: chiming top-end sparkle, growling low-mid punch, or a blended tone that splits the difference. The string-thru Bigsby vibrato adds pitch-bending shimmer and rock-solid tuning stability, a pairing that’s long defined the Nashville sound.
Playability comes from a maple neck carved into a Standard “U” profile, topped with an ebony fingerboard and a 12″ radius across 22 medium jumbo frets. The 24.6″ scale length and 1.6875″ nut width strike a comfortable middle ground for chording and lead work alike.
Finished in Round-Up Orange gloss with aged white body and neck binding, a tortoise pickguard bearing the Gretsch logo, aged pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, nickel hardware, and the iconic horseshoe headstock inlay, this guitar wears its heritage proudly.
