The Fishman PROAIPJD1 Jerry Douglas Signature Series Aura Pedal solves that problem by putting 16 custom Aura Images directly at your feet, each one crafted and hand-picked by Jerry Douglas himself specifically for resonator guitars.
These images weren’t developed in isolation. Larry Fishman assembled a team that included Douglas, veteran recording engineer Bil VornDick, and respected resonator builder Paul Beard, all working toward one goal: giving players a way to reproduce truly miked, studio-quality tone on any stage. The result is a pedal that blends your pickup signal with the chosen Aura Image, letting you dial in exactly how much natural resonance you want in the mix.
Under the hood, 24-bit A/D/A conversion and 32-bit internal processing keep the signal clean and detailed, while straightforward controls—volume, blend, and image select—make it easy to shape your tone on the fly. A feedback-fighting phase switch helps tame unwanted resonances at stage volume, and the bypass/mute foot switch lets you cut in and out silently between songs. An input trim knob with clip/low battery indicator keeps you informed at a glance, and the pedal runs on either a 9V battery or a standard power adapter for setup flexibility.
