Description
This is Fender Custom Shop’s take on Eric Clapton’s personal Stratocaster setup, built from an alder body finished in urethane and paired with a satin urethane maple neck carved in his preferred soft “V” profile. The 25.5″ scale maple fingerboard carries 22 vintage-style frets at a 9.5″ radius, with black dot inlays and a 1.650″ synthetic bone nut keeping things comfortable and familiar under the hand.
Three Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups run through a 5-position blade switch, but the real story is in the electronics: a master volume, a master TBX tone control, and a master active mid-boost circuit (0-25dB) that lets you push the midrange hard for lead tones or back off for classic Strat chime. The modern wiring kit ties it all together cleanly.
Other details lifted straight from Clapton’s own guitars include a blocked American Vintage synchronized tremolo (for that locked-down, non-floating feel), vintage-style tuning machines, a 1-ply white pickguard with white knobs and switch tips, and his signature on the headstock. Hardware is finished in nickel/chrome, and a chrome bridge cover is included.
