Description
The ACS-SA Slim takes everything that made the original ACS-SA a go-to instrument for players blending nylon-string textures into modern setups, then trims the neck profile to ease the transition for steel-string guitarists. At 1.715″ wide, the nut is only a sliver wider than what you’d find on a typical solid-body electric, so your hands adjust quickly instead of relearning an entirely different instrument. Combined with Godin’s Ergocut neck shaping and a 16″ fingerboard radius, the feel stays fast and familiar while the voice goes classical.
Underneath, the chambered silver leaf maple body with Canadian Laurentian basswood wings and a solid cedar top does a lot of the heavy lifting acoustically and practically. This construction keeps feedback at bay even on loud stages, so you can run high volume without fighting the guitar for control. The mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard and bridge add stability and a smooth, consistent playing surface that holds up to heavy use.
Onboard, custom RMC electronics with 13-pin output let you plug straight into Roland GR synths or other 13-pin compatible gear, opening the door to synth textures alongside the natural nylon tone. A built-in preamp and Graphtech nut round out the electronics side, while 16:1 tuning machines keep things in tune through long sets.
