Description

There’s a reason surf and psych records from the ’60s still sound the way they do — and a lot of it traces back to guitars like this one. The Classic Series ’60s Jazzmaster brings back the offset body, the floating vibrato, and the switching quirks that made the original Jazzmaster its own strange, wonderful instrument, wrapped in a Surf Green nitrocellulose lacquer finish that ages and wears the way old Fenders do.

An alder body pairs with a maple neck carved in a comfortable “C” profile, both finished in gloss nitro for that vintage look, feel, and eventual patina. The rosewood fingerboard keeps its 7.25″ radius and 21 vintage-style frets with white dot inlays, tuned to the classic 25.5″ scale. American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster single-coil pickups sit in the bridge and neck positions, delivering the warm, slightly jangly tone this model is known for.

The Jazzmaster’s dual-circuit setup is intact: a 3-position toggle selects bridge, bridge+neck, or neck pickup, while a separate 2-position switch flips between the upper rhythm circuit and lower lead circuit — each with its own volume and tone controls. The 6-saddle vintage-style bridge and floating tremolo tailpiece, complete with pop-in arm, round out the vibrato-heavy design.
