Description
The Schecter C-1 Hellraiser FR is built for players who need tuning stability and aggressive tone in equal measure. Under the black gloss finish sits a set-neck mahogany body with Ultra Access construction, giving you unobstructed reach to the upper frets across all 24 jumbo positions.
Tonal power comes from the EMG Active 81TX/89R pickup pair. The 81TX bridge pickup switches between its signature crunch-heavy humbucker mode and a punchier, clearer single-coil voice, while the 89R neck pickup pulls from alnico V magnets and dual preamps to deliver warm, rich tone whether you’re in humbucker or coil-tap mode. Control is handled through a Vol (tap)/Vol (tap)/Tone layout with a 3-way switch, so both coil-splits are always within reach.
The 3-piece mahogany neck resists warping from temperature and humidity swings far better than a single-piece build, keeping your setup consistent year after year. It’s topped with a rosewood fingerboard – naturally oily and grippy under the fingers, with a fundamental-forward tone that soaks up stray overtones rather than letting them ring out.
A Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo anchors everything at the bridge, locking your strings at both the nut and bridge for dive bombs and heavy dropped tunings that stay in tune. Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio handle fine-tuning duties with minimal backlash.
