The Applause AB24 carries on Ovation’s tradition of rethinking the acoustic guitar body, swapping traditional wood bracing and bent sides for a molded Lyrachord bowl. The mid-depth shape keeps enough air moving inside to give the guitar real projection and warmth, while still sitting comfortably against the body rather than digging in like a deep-bodied dreadnought. The cutaway design also opens up access to the upper frets for players who like to explore beyond open chords.
Plugging in is straightforward thanks to the onboard electronics package. A CE304T preamp works alongside the CT-600A active pickup to capture your tone with clarity across the frequency spectrum, from tight low-end thump to articulate top-end sparkle. Right at the guitar’s edge, you’ll find a 3-band EQ, volume knob, and built-in tuner, so you can dial in your sound and check your pitch without fumbling for a separate pedal or clip-on unit mid-set.
Finished in a natural satin that shows off the guitar’s clean, understated look, the AB24 is built to be a practical workhorse — equally at home in a bedroom practice session or plugged into a PA on a small stage.
