The Celebrity Elite CE44-RBB carries forward Ovation’s long-standing reputation for guitars that feel as good as they sound. Finished in Reverse Blueburst, it pairs a solid Spruce top with Ovation’s distinctive Lyrachord back, the composite material responsible for the brand’s bright, projecting tone and its rounded, ergonomic shape. This particular model uses the mid-depth cutaway body, striking a balance between resonance and comfort for players who want a bowl back that’s easier to handle than the deeper-bodied versions in the range.
A Rosewood fingerboard runs the length of the neck, giving a smooth, familiar feel under the fingers, while the Ovangkol bridge adds a touch of tonal warmth and durability. Die-cast sealed tuners keep tuning stable, and the fretboard offers 17 frets to the body with the high E extending out to 22.
Plugged in, the CE44 relies on Ovation’s OP-4BT preamp fitted with an Ovation Slimline pickup, controlled via a three-band EQ and volume knob for quick tonal shaping on stage. A built-in tuner is also on hand, so you can check pitch without reaching for a separate pedal or clip-on unit.
