Beneath it sits Ovation’s contour bowl, a design that not only boosts acoustic projection but is shaped to rest comfortably against the body no matter how you sit or stand while playing.
A smooth cutaway carves out extra room along the satin-finished, 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, giving you unobstructed reach into the upper register — a real plus for solos and melodic lead lines. The traditional center soundhole gets a decorative touch too, trimmed with an oak-leaf rosette and accented with mother-of-pearl inlay for a refined, classic look.
Plugged in, the Balladeer doesn’t lose its character.
