Description
The Guild M-120 pairs solid African mahogany top, back, and sides for a focused, woody tone with plenty of midrange warmth—less boom than a dreadnought, more presence than you’d expect from a smaller body. The concert shape sits comfortably against the body and suits fingerstyle playing and quieter settings just as well as strummed accompaniment.
A vintage-profile Guild neck carries a 24 3/4″ scale and 1 3/4″ nut width, giving the fretting hand a relaxed, easy feel across the Indian rosewood fingerboard. Bone is used for both nut and saddle, a detail that helps sustain and clarity carry through. Cosmetically, the M-120 leans into Guild’s 1960s heritage: a mother-of-pearl rosette, tortoiseshell pickguard, and the brand’s signature Chesterfield headstock emblem all nod to the era while the gloss polyurethane natural finish keeps the mahogany grain visible.
Rounding out the build are an Indian rosewood bridge, nickel-plated open-gear tuners, and D’Addario EXP16 coated phosphor bronze strings (12-53) already installed. Guild ships this model with its new lightweight polyfoam case, so it’s ready to play right out of the box.
