Description
Nearly three years of R&D with a team of PhDs went into Soundscape, L.R. Baggs’ most ambitious acoustic amplification tool yet. Rather than relying on a fixed pickup voicing, Soundscape builds a Voiceprint—a digital fingerprint of your specific guitar’s timbre and playing response—and loads it onto the pedal to replace your pickup signal with something far closer to how your instrument actually sounds unplugged.
Building the Voiceprint
Using the Acoustic Live app and impulse response technology developed alongside Universal Audio co-founder Dr. Jonathan Abel, your phone becomes a pocket studio. Plug into the pedal, prop your phone in place, tap the bridge, strum a few chords, pick some strings—and the app generates a custom preset built specifically around your guitar’s actual voice.
Feedback Control and Tone Shaping
Every Voiceprint session also maps out the resonant frequencies most likely to feed back, generating an Anti•FB profile you can trigger with a single control on the pedal. The app additionally offers a full parametric EQ for fine-tuning presets to taste, useful even for players who skip the Voiceprint process entirely.
Live Performance Engine
The Soundscape pedal handles playback at 96 kHz sampling for studio-grade quality on stage, storing up to 100 instrument presets that you manage through the app.
