Description
The Godin A6 Ultra takes the acoustic-electric hybrid formula that made the A-series famous and pushes it further. Its chambered Silver Leaf Maple body pairs with a solid Cedar top to produce a resonant, feedback-resistant platform ideal for loud stages, while the mahogany neck brings the fast, familiar feel of an electric guitar to an acoustic voice.
What sets the Ultra apart is the addition of a Godin GHN1 humbucker in the neck position, giving players access to genuine electric guitar tone alongside the acoustic signal. An under-saddle transducer captures the natural body resonance, and the two signals route through independent outputs — one acoustic, one electric — so you can blend or run them separately into different amps or channels. A custom Godin preamp puts full control at your fingertips: sliders for acoustic volume, treble, mid and bass, plus a separate set of volume, treble and bass controls dedicated to the humbucker.
That kind of tonal flexibility makes the A6 Ultra genuinely versatile — clean acoustic strumming, humbucker-driven leads, or a blended mix that works for jazz, rock, country, and slide blues alike. This particular version comes finished in Koa High-Gloss, showcasing rich figuring under a polished top coat.
