Description
Godin built the ACS Slim for guitarists who love the warmth of nylon strings but live on a narrow electric neck. At 1.715″ wide at the nut, it’s barely a hair wider than a typical solid-body electric, so the jump to classical tone doesn’t mean fighting an unfamiliar fretboard. Combined with Godin’s Ergocut shaping and a 16″ fingerboard radius, the neck feels immediate and comfortable rather than like a whole new instrument.
Underneath, the ACS Slim keeps everything that made the standard ACS-SA a go-to stage guitar: a chambered silverleaf maple body topped with cedar. That construction is highly feedback-resistant, so it holds up in loud band settings and high-volume stages where a traditional classical would howl. It’s built to be plugged in and played hard, not babied in a quiet room.
Onboard is Godin’s custom RMC electronics package with a 13-pin connector, giving direct access to Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths — a serious feature for players who want synth textures alongside natural nylon tone. The mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard round out a build meant for durability and a fast, consistent feel across the 25 1/2″ scale.
