Twelve-string guitars usually come with a tradeoff: gorgeous shimmer, but a body and neck that fight you the whole way. The Godin A12 skips that compromise. Its two-chamber Silver Leaf Maple body is only two inches deep, so it stays light and comfortable while still projecting with real depth thanks to the book-matched solid cedar top.
The rock maple neck carries a 25½” scale and a 1 11/16″ nut width, topped with a rosewood fingerboard cut to a 16″ radius—flat enough for smooth chording up and down the neck, even with twelve strings pulling against it. Plugged in, the custom Godin under-saddle transducer pairs with a top-mounted preamp offering Volume, Mid, Treble, and Bass controls, so you can dial in exactly how much sparkle or warmth you want live or direct into a board.
