Description
Fender’s Kingman SCE brings back that ’60s California acoustic look in a jumbo body built to fill a room. The solid spruce top paired with scalloped “X” bracing gives it plenty of air and projection, while the laminated mahogany back and sides add warmth and low-end punch without muddying things up. This is the guitar for players who want an acoustic that can genuinely hold its own next to a full band.
Because it’s built on a maple Stratocaster-style neck with a comfortable “C” profile, the Kingman feels instantly familiar in the hand, even if you’ve never picked up a Fender acoustic before. The cutaway body opens up access to the upper frets, so soloing up the neck isn’t a stretch — literally. A rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and a bone nut round out a neck that plays as good as it looks.
Plug in and the Fishman Presys pickup system takes over, offering an active onboard preamp plus a built-in tuner so you’re always ready to go from unplugged practice to amplified performance. The rosewood “Viking” bridge with a compensated bone saddle helps keep intonation accurate across the fretboard.
Details that set it apart:
- Jumbo cutaway body with solid spruce top and mahogany back/sides
- Fishman Presys pickup system with active preamp and onboard tuner
- Maple “C”-shape neck with aged white binding and 20-fret rosewood board
- Rosewood bridge with compensated bone saddle, bone nut
- Fender Stratocaster-style headstock with gold ’70s-style logo
- 3-ply gold/white/gold pickguard and checkerboard rosette
- Includes black hardshell case
Finished in classic 3-Tone Sunburst, this Kingman SCE is ready for the stage, the studio, or wherever you need a jumbo acoustic-electric that plays as well as it looks.
