Description
The PM-1 Standard Dreadnought takes the Paramount Series formula and strips it down to a single tonewood: mahogany, top to back to sides. The result is a dreadnought with a focused midrange and a warm, dry character that suits fingerstyle and strumming players who want less shimmer and more woody growl. An open-pore finish leaves the grain exposed and gives the guitar a raw, honest look rather than a glossy showroom shine.
Inside, a quartersawn scalloped "X"-brace pattern helps the top move freely for a responsive, lively feel under the hands. The mahogany neck carries a comfortable "C" profile, a 25.3" scale, and a rosewood fingerboard with a 15.75" radius and mother-of-pearl position markers, all set up with a bone nut and compensated bone saddle at the rosewood bridge. Fender’s ’60s-style checkerboard rosette and a tortoiseshell pickguard add just enough visual personality without straying from the guitar’s earthy theme.
