Description
Synyster Gates’ name is on plenty of electrics, but this acoustic proves his signature style translates just as well unplugged. The SYN AC-GA SC pairs a solid mahogany body with a spruce top for that classic warm-but-articulate acoustic voice, finished in gloss black with silver pin stripes running down the top for a look that’s unmistakably his.
Under the hood, it’s built like an instrument meant to actually get played, not just admired. The mahogany neck carries a Thin ‘C’ profile – slim at .787″ by the first fret, still comfortable at .866″ by the twelfth – so chords and leads both feel natural whether you’re coming from electric or acoustic. A rosewood fretboard with a 16″ radius and 20 medium frets sits on a 25.5″ scale, and the pearloid Gothic cross inlays (complete with Syn and Deathbat imagery) keep the personality going all the way up the neck.
Plugging in is where this guitar shows its rock pedigree. A Schecter Acoustic Piezo pickup feeds into the onboard CE304T 3-band EQ with built-in tuner, so you can shape your tone and check pitch without reaching for a pedal. Chrome hardware, a rosewood acoustic bridge, Schecter tuners, and a synthetic bone nut round out the build.
