Its mid-depth Lyrachord cutaway body pairs with a solid spruce top cut with quarter-sawn scalloped “X” bracing, a pattern refined from Ovation’s own archives to balance vintage warmth with contemporary clarity. The result is an instrument that projects with authority on stage, producing crisp high end and tight, well-defined bass through its multi-soundhole layout.
Visually, the CE44-1 doesn’t cut corners on detail. Multi-wood epaulets frame the soundholes, black binding traces the top’s edge, and the whole package is finished in a gloss Two-Color Sunburst that gives the spruce top real depth and shine.
