Underneath that projection is a top built from grade A spruce, chosen for its resonance and clarity across the doubled string set that a 12-string demands. The body follows Ovation’s Deep Contour profile with a cutaway, giving players comfortable access to the upper frets without sacrificing the low-end warmth that a deeper body provides.
Plugged in, the guitar relies on Ovation’s OCP1K piezo pickup system, built with oversized crystals that capture vibration from both the strings and the top itself for a fuller amplified tone. That signal is shaped by an onboard OP-Pro preamp, giving you control over your sound whether you’re running into a PA or an acoustic amp.
