The M-240E Troubadour brings back the small-bodied charm that made Guild’s F-20 a folk-era favorite, wrapped in a vintage sunburst finish that hints at its heritage. Built with players in mind who want less bulk without sacrificing tone, this concert-shaped guitar suits fingerstyle work, light strumming, and travel duty equally well — especially for those with a smaller frame or a taste for compact instruments.
Underneath that sunburst top sits a solid Sitka spruce soundboard paired with an arched mahogany back and sides, a time-tested combination that delivers a well-rounded voice rich in overtone complexity. The mahogany neck carries a Slim C profile with a 24 3/4" scale and 1 11/16" nut width, topped with a rosewood fingerboard and pearloid dot inlays across 20 frets. Details like the bone nut and compensated bone saddle, tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel-plated open gear tuners (14:1 ratio) round out the old-world aesthetic, all sealed under a thin, resonant satin polyurethane finish.
Plugged in, the DeArmond Tone Boss magnetic soundhole pickup takes over — a humbucking design with built-in volume control that plays nicely with any amp, no preamp fuss required.
